| 108541 | 2002-12-23 09:46:00 | I am about to start a new job with a company that has neglected it's IT systems for quite sometime. They have a mixture of operating systems (win 3.11, 95 & 98), they have a mixture of pc's (486, pentiums) & the hardware is mainly supplied from local pc assemblers (of course a range of different ones). Application software is of course a colourful selection of old & new. Lastly, they have three seperate networks setup (including a number of stand alone pc's) that do not communicate to with each other. I estimate they have 30-50 pc's all up. My desire is to standardise the hardware & software over time, but first I need to perfrom an audit on what we currently have. Until the networks are setup correctly, I know that I will not be able to run a network program to gather this information. So I am looking for an application that I can run on each machine that will basically audit the local hardware & software & send the information to a printer or file. Cost isn't an issue for a good product. |

| 108543 | 2002-12-23 10:30:00 | "Aida" is a great program, gave it to one of my lecturer's and he loved it. Think it comes in 3-4 different versions. | Bambi (1486) | ||
