| 108647 | 2002-12-24 04:56:00 | I get this anoyying file popping up in different folders. Its a hidden file, and i first found it when I was uploading my website, and it said it was uploading Thumbs.db I dont have a clue what it is, and I had to un tick the box to hide hidden or system files. Thumbs.db Is very annoying, does any one know what it is, and how I can stop it popping up all the time. I have Windows XP Pro. |

If you leave it alone, it won't annoy you anymore :D Thumbs.db is the file that Windows creates to store thumbnail information after you view a folder in Thumbnail view (usually a folder containing pictures). It helps Windows load the images the next time you view the folder - it shouldn't be a very big file, and it should be fine to just leave there. Leave your hidden and system files hidden and you won't even notice it :) Have a good Christmas, Mike. |
