| 109302 | 2002-12-27 19:39:00 | I went to this link support.microsoft.com and followed the instructions to add 'Print directory listing' to the options you can choose when you right-click on a folder in Explorer. The page says that the tip is for Windows ME and 98 but I got advice that it was OK to use in Windows XP (I have home edition installed). However, the first entry in the list when I double-click is now 'Open in command window here' instead of 'Open' and I want to change it back. I can't seem to be able to do this in folder options. The order I get is: Open command window here Search... Print directory listing Open Explore --------- Sharing and security etc |

Look at the formatting options. Basically you type in an url.... eg. www.microsift.com and then add the http colon double forward bars in front and ...... http://www.microsoft.com now it's an active link. That's the simplest. cheers mark:) c |

| 109306 | 2002-12-28 04:39:00 | Sorry about the link - I think I should have hit 'Enter' after I cut and paste it into the box. When I select Folder Options from the tool menu, 'File folder' file type, and click on the 'Advanced' button I get the following list: find Open command window here Print directory listing. None of these are the default options I want - Open or Explore do not appear and the edit and remove buttons are greyed out so I couldn't copy their properties from the 'Folder' file type. |

| 109308 | 2002-12-28 05:14:00 | Hi TrevO To make your web address show when you click on a word such as 'here' refer to the Formatting Options in the reply box. What you do is type [ u r l = then type the web address incl the http//www bits in front, then close off with a ] (I used double spacing for the u r l = bit but you have to use normal spacing to make it work) After that you then type in the 'here' word, or any other word or words you desire and finally you close off the whole line with [/url] I hope that makes sense, I found it a bit hard to explain. Also, apologies to the original poster, Tutaekuri whose thread seems to have been hijacked a little. BTW what does that name mean? I hope it is not what I was lead to believe. ?:| Cheers. :) |
