109821 2002-12-29 23:29:00 Logitec make one, but I have never seen it for sale here (but have never looked either)

It should be about $200 or less, based on the US price.

A review is here (hardware.earthweb.com)

109822 2002-12-30 01:30:00 At that price might try and make my own with headset and some sort of transeiver DIY kit from dse if poss. Thanks for reply G'. Mike-Y (908)
109823 2002-12-30 03:36:00 Possible but not that easy. You need a full duplex transciever, audio in each direction. Also operating a receiver close to a PC will require FM at UHF type frequencies to achieve interference free audio.

Plantronics also make these headsets, and they work at 900 MHZ or 2.4 GHz, however even these frequencies are now intruded upon by CPU clock noise. Plantronics ones would be about $800 I believe.

Gutting an old cordless phone could be a start? (if you could get your hands on the circuit diagram)

Modulated Infra Red would achieve the interference free aspect, but still an expensive exercise compared to a piece of wire.
