110336 2003-01-01 08:53:00 I have 3101kb in a file called system.dat and 445kb in a file called user.dat - both in C:\WINDOWS.

Can (should) these be deleted and will spider do the job?

Many thanks
Chris Randal (521)

I would suggest not deleting the user.dat file. Information on it is on the above link and more links in regards to user.dat can be found at the google link below if you want to do further research of it.

110339 2003-01-01 09:10:00 You will not be able to delete these files and you do not want to - they belong to your Windows Registry and Windows will not work without them. Some information on them is here: www.adobe.com

You may be confusing these files with index.dat, which can be deleted with the Spider program.
