| 110018 | 2002-12-30 23:12:00 | I own a Mustek MRW-8432 CD writer. After updating its firmware (FlashTool 3.1), the drive has problem detecting blank CDs. I ve tried several brands ... and none of them seems to go. Ocassionally is will detect the blank when I put it in ... but most of the time it can't. So, I am just hoping if anyone of you know where I can download a better/ working firmware for this CD writer thx : ) |

| 110020 | 2002-12-30 23:50:00 | I agree - why'd you update the firmware to start with? Did you save a copy of the old firmware before your Flashed the drive? Have you flashed a drive before? It is often said that flashing firmware should be left to expert/advanced users, and I tend to agree - it's a risky business :) Mike. |

| 110021 | 2003-01-20 09:06:00 | In many cases firmware updates can assist in allowing for reading new media, however 1 number out or even a invalid checksum can cause damage. See if you have the option to roll back to your old firmware revision. Maybe the manufacturer has it on their site. | kiwistag (2875) | ||
