| 110683 | 2003-01-03 05:00:00 | After formatting my harddrive and reloading my software the ICON in the tray next to the cloch indicates "bps" when I hover over the little monitors. Before it used to show the connection speed. How can I change this?? When reloading the DYNALINK driver for my 56K internal modem (I got it from the web) my modem does not work correctly (I have resorted to letting Win 98 R2 select a standard driver). It appears after loading the "Dynalink" driver ths computer is sending the incorrect string to the modem (log reporting ERROR then disconect) |

| 110684 | 2003-01-03 06:00:00 | Double-click on My Computer, then double-click on Dial-Up Networking. Right-click on the ISP connection icon and choose Properties. Click the Configure button. Click the Connection tab. Click the Advanced button. In "Extra settings" box the modem string has to be correct for your modem model Try removing all extra settings and if you get disconnects advise the modem model. |
