| 110592 | 2003-01-02 19:50:00 | I was thinking about getting a digital camera and someone suggested getting a video capture card instead so I can take stills and video clips off my analog video camera. How would the image quality compare between a frame in an analog video stream and a jpg captured from a 2.0 megapixel digital camera. Does anyone know a good site for this stuff ? :D |

I know the quality would be a bit better, but only if you're willing to fork out for the digital video camera. I'm trying to find out about capture cards and the like, but haven't had much luck. the cheapest one I have found is like 475 bucker. the one I want is 675 :P | tango (2697) | ||

| 110595 | 2003-01-02 22:05:00 | Most analogue video cameras will have CCDs well under 1 MegaPixel in size. Therefore the image will suffer, as BIFF says. New models of Digital Video cameras are approaching 2 MegaPixel, and will be equal to the cheaper digital still cameras. |
