| 110820 | 2003-01-03 20:40:00 | How can I remove a web camera? A couple of years ago purchased a SmartCAM from DSE worked fine on previous PC with 98 but despite downloading drivers has been nothing but a problem on XP. Have now purchased a Logitech QuickCam and this works fine. Have gone into Add/remove programs and when go to remove get could not open install.log. Going into Start/Programs it does not even show up! OK then did a search for the camera name STV0673 and deleted all those files all that did was stuff up my TV tuner did a system restore so back to where was!! Appreciate any suggestions. |

You can do regedits etc to clean everything out but its time consuming and probably not worth the effort. You can use tweakUI to remove the camera from the add/remove progs bit. If you have nortons run the win doctor. it may remove some invalid entries relating to the old camera |

You might want to also uninstall your new camera first, and reinstall it again once you have finished completely uninstalling the old camera software. This might help. |
