111237 2003-01-05 11:17:00 I'm running Win98 on a K6-2/350 with 256MB SDRAM, Wodoo 3000 card, Lucent Winmodem etc. Recently I have added a CyberDrive 48/12/48 CDRW, and installed Nero 5.5 and InCD UDF software. At the same time, I've added an optical mouse through a USB->PS/2 adapter that came with it, and installed the accompanying software.
Since than, the PC only gets to "Windows shutting down" screen, regardless of the option selected form the shutdown menu, or if the system/app requests a restart.
I have already tried going through disabling some/all start-up items, UDF file system/software, fast shutdown, and checked MS website for a patch, but there is only the one for Win98SE.
Please help, I'm at my wits' end
