| 111152 | 2003-01-05 06:43:00 | Having just reformatted an old(er) PC with W98 I went to add IE5.5 from a magazine disc--no problem. But...when I go to run it-it won't open & I am only given the option of downloading via the net,which it then tells me it cannot access even though I've done the relative connections.I figure it's a setting somewhere. | 111153 | 2003-01-05 07:07:00 | Check these things. With Internet Explorer open select Tools/Internet Options Make sure you have a valid homepage address. Delete and retype if required. Click Apply Click on Connections tab at the top Make sure your ISP connection is showing as the default. Make sure "always dial my default connection" has the dot in it. Click Apply and OK |
