111291 2003-01-06 03:23:00 My DVD-ROM Drive happens to be Samsung, and I am fully pleased with it and its performance. I have had experience with some other Samsung peripherals and found them to be of good quality too! Chilling_Silence (9)

Ok, Baldy, i'm wrong your right . You are the dead "smartest" computer genius on PressF1 . Ever measured your IQ? Don't need to . . . . you'll get the score negative Einstein .

You don't have to make bad comments on my posts everytime we meet . If you know your facts, BenQ is only like a sub-division of Acer . It is not new!

You are absolutely not making PF1 better by posting cra**y remarks .

:p

{B]where did I put you down on that reply SY, was only pointing out something about the history of Samsung. Nothing more. You have got a strange concept of a crappy reply[/B]

111294 2003-01-06 06:34:00 Oh Dear; some people jump in with well intentioned, but incorrect advice & comments. I've seen it often on this excellent forum.

One should only offer advice, when it is a subject that one has had experience of, and you are sure the advice/comments are correct.

Take notice SY. Baldy was not being 'Smart' in correcting your incorrect comments about the Samsung gear..

Lets all be friendly & helpful, when we can..

111295 2003-01-06 07:52:00 Lite-on or BTC would be my pick.

My Aopen works fine though.

111297 2003-01-06 08:47:00 IN regards to my samsung CD-RW it's only 99+gst at etc computers, Which also makes it one of the cheapest. As Baldy reported samsung have been doing electronics for mega years. They have been doing a lot of advertising in NZ recently, so people are starting to get to know them better. I'd imagine that the drive will perform well, but i do know that samsung can put out crappy products.
Mind you so can many other companies.

111298 2003-01-06 09:01:00 I noticed on the TV news the Iraq government or UN inspectors used the Samsung brand CD discs for all the "arms of mass destruction " inspection data Baldy (26)
111299 2003-01-06 20:22:00 I would definately recommend a LITE ON drive, as it is capable of backing up multiple protected software discs (Safedisk 2.51 etc) and is a very reliable writer. Check out the list on www.elby.org the maker of clone cd. Dragonslayer (512)
