| 111571 | 2003-01-07 01:01:00 | I have tried to install 512Mb of Sd 133Mhz ram into a dell dimention L800CXE. It has not reconized it it. It still reads 64Mb in the control pannel. if i take out the 64 mb stick and just leave the 512 Mb one in it beeps. I think there could be some setting in the cmos which i have to change but i dont no what the button is which i have to push to get into it and the screen that tells you flashes up so fast that i cannot see it. can anyone help? | mcatley (662) | ||
| 111572 | 2003-01-07 01:16:00 | Not all motherboards take all memory types . You may need to research just what the Motherboard will accept . Its quite likely it will not work with the 512k stick, there are single sided and double sided RAM, some motherboards require specific types . They can also be slot selective . |
