| 111521 | 2003-01-06 19:39:00 | Greetings I've just upgraded from win98 to XP pro but my DVD drive isnt being detected. I have two ROM drives - one dvd and one cdrw. But the CDRW only shows up if I disconnect the dvd drive from the IDE cable. The CDRW is set to Slave. My DVD drive is a Pioneer 112 ( i think) hope someone can help |

| 111522 | 2003-01-06 20:34:00 | to see if that works. also does the machine see the two cd drives? does the bios detect both drives? if yes, then its a problem with xp. if all the aboe fails, slave your dvd drive to your hard drive(assuming u only have one hard drive) good luck, |

| 111523 | 2003-01-06 21:20:00 | Yes, Check the BIOS - It should pick it up as a CD-ROM drive. You've run Add New Hardware though? (Just have to make sure) My DVD-ROM likes being the Master.. so its the Primary Master.. What is youre current configuration of your Drives? Cheers Chilling_Silence |
