1326082 2013-02-01 22:25:00 my friends hard drive crashed and I have recovered all his files
however they are in many folders

With all his JPG files there is a file made by GIMP it ends with .dcm there are thousands of these files scattered throughut the folder I created called recovery

is there a command line option to delete all these files?

like delete J:\recovery\ etc *.dcm

1326083 2013-02-01 23:00:00 If you can put them altogether, while holding down the shift key select them all by dragging the mouse pointer over them then select delete. Hope that makes sense.

Not in Windows but within Explorer click on the File Type (I think) header which will sort all those so they are together then do as above.

1326086 2013-02-02 20:11:00 Within Windows Explorer do a search for *.dcm

Select All

Delete.
