Galaxy S3 is doing a pretty damn good job of making it mainstream. And that argument is invalid; proved wrong by screen sizes. Screen sizes of 4 inches and larger became mainstream because androids bought them in, not an iProduct. And turn by turn navigation, again made mainstream by androids.

1300756 2012-09-13 09:19:00 Didn't say it was mainstream to start with, but when all top end androids start supporting it it is mainstream. It is.

Would have been cool to see the iPhone with it as well, always good to see technology supported by all OS's, gives more choice.

1300757 2012-09-13 09:33:00 Apple were innovative once or twice in the past but do seem to be slipping back. I'm not and never have been an Apple fan but I can recognise a good product when I see one which the original iPhone was as was the ipod.

Since then their products have been getting less and less innovative with each new one. The competition didn't waste anytime in catching up and in a lot of cases although not all have overtaken Apple who now maintain their market share with a suckered fan base and court cases
