| 1325792 | 2013-02-01 02:53:00 | My keyboard is mechanical, ex PC Direct (remember them?) with DIN plug plus a DIN-to-PS2 adapter, and was well used (on a 286) long before I acquired her. Every modern keyboard I've tried has given me sore fingers, especially the 'rubbery-feel' types, but this old girl just trucks along and I can type all day, no problems. I even cleaned her once, but she didn't look the same so I haven't touched her up since. I have several more mechanical boards stashed away in the wings (well out of sight) in case I need a 'new' one. They sure don't make 'em like they used to..... Cheers Billy 8-{) |

Cleaning out one of my drawers yesterday and one of their T-shirts was lying in the bottom! Bit faded but may become a painting shirt! I like to have a couple of old keyboards on hand. Trash Palace was a good source. Have a couple of old HP keyboards in my cupboard but I have used an old BTC one for many years. Even has its own copy/paste keys which get used all the time. Ah, memories!! |
