1326068 2013-02-01 20:14:00 The problem with the wireless dropping has returned with the NB6Plus4Wn so I tried my old Wag200g for a while and that just dropped everything.
So then I changed to the Thomson TG585.
That ran perfectly, but when I tried to do some online gaming I kept getting kicked, something about NAT error.
I'm sick of the nagging from my partner so I'm just going to buy another router.
Any suggestions?

1326069 2013-02-01 20:22:00 So you tried the phone though? Coz I' not convinced replacing the router will solve your issues.

Could have told you the other two were bad though ;)

If you absolutely have to, I'd go pick up the Asus N12U: www.pbtech.co.nz
Don't pick up any model except that, coz the N12e is different and no good.

That said, I'd personally still try a bit more diagnostics to see if you can't figure out the cause, it may well be the router, but it may not be...

1326070 2013-02-01 20:28:00 Home phone was disconnected for the morning and had 2 drops. The NB6 shows 12 errors but no drops this morning. It's a shame because it runs perfectly wired. sk69ersnz (13476)
1326071 2013-02-01 20:30:00 There were no drops with the Thomson.That was over 48 hours. sk69ersnz (13476)
1326072 2013-02-01 20:38:00 Now showing 50 errors and it dropped wireless again. The WLAN light still blinks green.I'm confused. sk69ersnz (13476)
1326073 2013-02-01 21:11:00 So by "disconnected" you mean "I powered off both the handset and the base station", yes?

What are these errors you're talking about? Screenshot?

1326074 2013-02-01 21:26:00 It pays to check yourself.The phones weren't powered off.
It's now showing 0 errors under Traffic Statistics in the NB6 menu.
I think that worked Chill.Hopefully it's the phone.

1326076 2013-02-01 21:31:00 Which entry do the errors show up under? WAN or Wireless?

Check on the phone itself, does it mention 2.4Ghz? Sounds like you may be onto something now ;)
EDIT: Usually the Base Station will tell you, like mine:
4736

1326077 2013-02-01 21:48:00 The errors were under Wireless transmitted.
The phone is 2.4Ghz.
Thinking of one of these www.jbhifi.co.nz

Will the Wireless friendly function be the same on all the phones? My partner wants one with answer machine and able to work during power failure.
