| 112116 | 2003-01-08 19:15:00 | My network has one Windows XP workstation and 5 '98 workstations run by a Linux Redhat 8 server. My Jetstream download speed on the XP workstation is around 390B/sec but on the '98 workstations it is around 115KB/sec. These speeds are from the Jetstreamgames speed test. Is there something I can do to get the '98 workstations up to proper speed? Any help would be appreciated. | GunCom (1967) | ||

| 112119 | 2003-01-08 21:51:00 | the DSL router reports: DS Speed 7616 Kbps US Speed 768 Kbps (yep, its exciting) here is my test data: my machine is p200mmx with 64 MB ram. and it is behind a firewall/hub. Your line speed is approximately 658.1 Kbps or 80.6 K bytes/sec. (not look very good, does the job anyway) what does your network look like? a peer-peer, or all the connections go thru the linux box? |
