111997 2003-01-08 06:51:00 A friend of mine is purchasing a new Sony digital camera ,and called me just now asking me how many pictures of good quality could he get on a am memory stick his camera is going to be the 3.2 million pixel model.I think the picture size he would be taking is the usual 5x8inch.Can anyone help me on this matter. Thanks kings (2729)
111998 2003-01-08 07:13:00 My Sony P51 (2.1Megapixels) has a 16 Mbyte card which takes 240 shots at 640*480 and 16 shots at the highest resolution (1600*?). Cards of higher capacity are available if needed. JohnD (509)
111999 2003-01-08 07:53:00 I get about 60-70 2meg pics on a 32mb card. Each pic is about 400Kb. Depending on settings, a 3Meg camera would get about 2/3 as many pics.

It is very controllable by controlling resolution, but I tend to think you should get maximum resolution with every shot.
