| 111962 | 2003-01-08 05:29:00 | Hey Good on him for winning the case. Isn't DeCSS supposed to also remove the copy protection on DVD's?? So if we're allowed to make copies of CD's for backup and personal usage then why aren't we allowed to do the same with DVD's? - the same goes with MP3's - we're [supposedly] legally allowed them on our computers provided we own a copy of the CD that the track(s) came from - so why aren't we allowed to do that with DVD's?? (not that I would - I have no real use of having a DVD on my computer seeing as I have a perfectly good DVD player) CyberChuck |

| 111963 | 2003-01-08 06:00:00 | Some more news straight off the goss channel (heard from my sister gobbing off to someone in her room) My sisters friend (friend A) had (notice the past tense) this friend (friend B), now Friend A and B worked together on a project for school, however due to this or that (I tuned out around this time) Friend B didn't do any work on the project (lazy maybe ?:|) and so Friend A ended up doing the entire project (yippee :D), now, because they're all one big happy friendship club Friend A decided to tell their teacher that Friend B didn't do any work on the project, so friend B has now failed her assignment... Confused yet ?:| CyberChuck |

You are actually NOT allowed to legally do in NZ at the moment. We're waiting on this (www.med.govt.nz) to be accepted. Then we'll be able to do stuff like what you've mentioned. |
