Try running "pppsetup" .

112090 2003-01-09 04:15:00 Try "man pppd" from the command line although Google is probably better (or the pppd howto) Dolby Digital (160)
112091 2003-01-09 04:17:00 If its a gateway (ok you said it is), you could have a look at www.smoothwall.org

I use it and its very good and I use a 486DX4-100

112092 2003-01-09 04:20:00 I think there is a KPPP setup magician in the Control Centre of KDE, which is probably the default GUI.

If you enter "PPP Linux" to the Search function on this page, you will find a fair amount of information. (The second one, gives a couple of links.)

Have a look at the HOWTO documents, too.

I take it your modem has been detected, and works. :D We've had siscussion on that too. ;-)

112093 2003-01-09 07:35:00 RedHat uses wvdial to connect from the command shell - configuration is in /etc/wvdial.conf JohnD (509)
112094 2003-01-09 07:44:00 There is an option in "linuxconf" to configure/dial. You can also use "ifup ppp0". bmason (508)
