| 112574 | 2003-01-10 00:08:00 | What operating system? I ask because Windows XP is set by default to restart on serious errors, which unfortunately means you do not get to see the type of error. |

| 112575 | 2003-01-10 00:08:00 | What makes you think its IE? IE uses the explorer file, just like Windows Explorer, and also the same explorer that loads up your start menu etc. If you have an improper close down of IE and you "End Task" it, then it'll kill your start bar and things, but I wouldnt suspect it would reboot your PC! What OS and how long has it happened for? |

| 112576 | 2003-01-10 04:17:00 | Using Win 98. When I am using Internet Explorer,on a Pentium 350, it will suddenly turn the power off and and then restarting, wih the full scandisk etc. Using Outlook Express and other internet programs there is no problem, just Microsoft Internet Explorer. | 112577 | 2003-01-10 04:44:00 | Win 98 does not do a full restart, to my knowledge. I cannot explain why IE only. I would suspect hardware more than software, such as heat etc. causing it to shut down. But why only on IE is a mystery. Hopefully some bright spark will comment. |
