112273 2003-01-09 03:11:00 Yup! Should be no prob, you can even do AMD's Athlon XP and possibly MP too! Chilling_Silence (9)
112274 2003-01-09 03:54:00 Hi Cade

This is a family kinda site with family values, and although you may not have intended it, your F1 name is a bit off.

Maybe you might want to re-register with something a little less obvious?

No offence intended.

112275 2003-01-09 08:29:00 find what model you have and check on the compaq site. there are limits on how high you can go depending on what mobo and bios it has. check it first. tweak'e (174)
112276 2003-01-09 08:49:00 Make sure you check that it will support it.

What make and model is your motherboard. Some won't take the newer Durons.

112277 2003-01-09 09:29:00 Pretty much the same answers you got in November.

How about dropping the user name to one more suitable to this forum.... please?

112278 2003-01-10 00:36:00 Thanks Crozier

I was beginning to feel a little lonely there and thought I might be showing my age.

Perhaps Bruce or Robo might take some action to sort it out if it doesn't happen voluntarily.

Cheers

112279 2003-01-10 00:42:00 Okay, besides the fact that the name is inappropriate, Check on the Compaq site and see what type of motherboard it is.
You then should be able to punch in the info into google, or tell us here, and we could give you a definative answer.

It all is depentdant on your mobo's max FSB I believe
