| 113525 | 2003-01-13 19:50:00 | This is the opposite of sorts that has happened to me. While most times people look towards how to delete leftover entries from Add/Remove in the Control Panel, I have been deprived of entries themselves! With the exception of about 5-6 recent installation entries that show up on the Add/Remove, the 40-plus entries that I used to have decided to take off and never show up whatever I do to bring them back. Any suggestions? Its a Windows ME. | voyager13 (1390) | ||
| 113526 | 2003-01-14 08:52:00 | For a start, Windows ME is known for being a little funny with installing\uninstalling programs. For example, it has been known to uninstall an upgrade of Internet Explorer after rebooting! If you are having trouble uninstalling something, maybe you should look for the programs own uninstaller, many programs have one, but its not a guarantee. If you just wanna get rid of it, Delete the directory. This doesn't matter with most programs, but not all. Find out what the program writes into the Windows Registry *first*. |
