2003-01-13 07:15:00 | Hi - I just deceided to put ICQ back on - as i haven't got round to putting it back on again since the pc upgrade. I was just wanting opinions on what the better version is, as the downloads have either: ICQ lite @ 1.7mb or ICQ Pro 2003a beta @ 3.6mb - recommendations would be appreciated, apart from the size difference which is obvious. Thanks

2003-01-13 07:28:00 | When I decided to download ICQ, I got the Pro 2003a version, rather than going for what I see a cut-down version (less features and control I understand?). | agent (30) | |
2003-01-13 07:40:00 | ICQ lite has all the functionality (read: less bloat) that most people will need. But Trillian (http://www.trillian.cc) is darned good as well.

2003-01-13 08:39:00 | I would go for the full version, but if you only want it solely for instant messenging and nothing else, you won't need anything more than ICQLite | Baldy (26) | |
2003-01-13 09:33:00 | The lite version has no chat window, which after all is probably the raison d'etre for ICQ. | Terry Porritt (14) | |
2003-01-14 08:12:00 | Thanks for the feedback guys, I think i will opt for the full version - >>>3The lite version has no chat window Well i would be wanting one of those :D and I do use SMS a wee bit too - and its always good to know these things/options are there too i guess, even if you don't use some of the features alot. Thanks Again - I am off to download it then :-)
