| 113500 | 2003-01-13 08:33:00 | I have 'defraged' a friends hard drive in safe mode which took about three hours, windows 98, but when it had finished and restarted the colour kept the same as safe mode ie 640x480 it should be 800x600 even after changing it in the control centre How do I get it back? Please! i feel it is my fault so instead of helping it did the opposite. regards Brandy again PS i did a scan first before 'defranging' |

| 113501 | 2003-01-13 08:46:00 | It sounds as though you have lost the video drivers. If you have a disk with drivers for the motherboard/video card, use them, or download them off the web. You need to know what video card (or chipset if its on-board video) Without the right drivers you will get default VGA (640 x 480) Also check to see if its only lost the monitor type settings, as that can limit it as well. |
