114277 2003-01-16 01:18:00 Yeah... There's a few places in AK:

Your best bet is the fone book and have a look around for smaller dealers who may deal second hand.

You're looking at about $30 for 2x 16MB module, or 70 for 2x 32Meg chips :)

114278 2003-01-16 01:21:00 Hey
I emailed DSE a while back and it was quite expensive - something like $127 for 16MB Ram

While this does seem pretty steep - considering you can get 128MB SD-RAM for $50, I would ask myself whether it's worth keeping the motherboard, or spending the money and upgrading to a new motherboard, which can handle DDR/SD-Ram, and therefore atleast you have a reasonable amount of ram in your computer. The only thing I've found is that new motherboards with all their onboard equipment usually won't fit in the old AT Style case - so that may mean a case upgrade in your situation :_| - it just keeps getting more expensive by the minute :p

114284 2003-01-17 00:34:00 I had an experience with Quay a few years ago...

Bought a RAM stick from them and got it home. The computer then went into crashing a fair bit. Finally traced it to the RAM.

I told them it was faulty and said I would send the RAM back to them.

I had a new stick the next day and they would not have received the faulty one back at that point.

It's nice to give them a pat on the back after all this time!!! :-)
