| 114211 | 2003-01-15 21:46:00 | Even though i run scandisk in safe mode i still get that"scandisk has restarted.............................etc" message. Ctr alt del shows only explorer running. Any ideas? Tia Rick |

| 114212 | 2003-01-15 21:58:00 | What OS etc? Depends if you want to do just do a scan or track down the problem (to eliminate it permanently?) If you use Win98 or ME (maybe XP too) and just want the scan, do it with a bootup from the startup disk, which also has scandisk on it. :) |

| 114213 | 2003-01-15 22:59:00 | Isn't that a DOS based scandisk? - from memory, it was reccomended (with Windows95, not too sure about the other OS's) to use DOS Scandisk if necessary, then run Windows Scandisk as that was a whole lot more thorough, and could restore and sort out filesl Speaking of Scandisk.. that's something I haven't done in a while :p CyberChuck |
