Yes... You've just received good solid legal advice from a bunch of teenagers :)

to quote Autin Powers (Father) :
Its not the size of your car son - Its how you use it!

Same goes for age IMHO! :D

Left my teens a while back... ;)

Maybe it might be an idea to resurrect that A/S/L thread we had a while back...??

114408 2003-01-16 04:04:00 i'd march in if the accounts manager didnt live 6-7 hours drive away (tauranga)....
but the agent for the manawatu lives like 20 houses down...but "closed" till after wellington anniversary weekend but he told me they still access emails etc but wont take face 2 face till after teh weekend..

And i just wrote a email to the head office...sent it off but a min later got a email back saying "email address doesnt exist"....
am gonna email it off to some other agents around the place...see if they can send it to the right place..

And..i am deaf....not sarcasam :P

114409 2003-01-16 04:23:00 Don't worry about it, Chris. You changed things. :O Organisations can't handle changes. Especially if they use computers. ;-)

The bank might have stuffed it up the changes to the auto payments. Your ISP has probably stuffed it up. The suits will be on holiday, so even if the staff there are more competent, they probably haven't got the authority to override the automatic computer stuff ups.

114410 2003-01-16 07:02:00 Chris,

First off, don't stress about it . At work I'm suffering from a Christmas backlog (with the boss still away so I'm doing his share too) and I guess other companies are in the same situation .

Bank accounts also go a little weird over Christmas - payments are often a couple of days late due to the holidays . If you have a problem with a bill it's always best to be straight up about it as soon as you know the problem is there . (We have tenants . Sometimes they pay late for obscure reasons but so long as they tell me in advance all is well)

Just sort it out logically on paper and keep them advised - they'll get to it in the end .

There are some hazy statistics floating around to do with the fact that it takes 7 times as much work to get a new customer as to keep an existing one . If your ISP cuts you, a regular payer with a good record off, they need their heads read .

114411 2003-01-16 07:21:00 Hehe, Id say give it until the end of Jan/start fof Feb before you start worrying yourself about it - A lot of people at my work are still away.. some people are on holiday til about the 27th! Chilling_Silence (9)
114412 2003-01-16 10:26:00 I would suggest faxing them as I have found so many businesses are very slack with email even the supposedly high tech ones.
I once faxed an order to a company and then sent a snail mail comfirmation (with comfirmation stamped all over it) and guess what the snail mail got processed before the fax. They then sent me another copy of a quite expensive piece of software which I returned and then got a credit on both items. It made me wonder how some businesses stay in business.
