| 114200 | 2003-01-16 03:38:00 | it takes so long, because as i said, your codecs are corrputed, along with WMP. YOu need to reinstall WMP. or restore to the point where everything was working fine. I have had this problem with WMP before back in version 7. I reinstalled WMP and all was corrected |

| 114201 | 2003-01-16 04:38:00 | Me again. I had exactly the same issue, and posted Here (pressf1.pcworld.co.nz) . In the end I went to the Control Panel / Display / Settings / Advanced / Troubleshoot, and moved the Hardware Acceleration Slider back one notch. It solved the problem, but bugged me as to why, and I was concerned that my games wouldn't play so well. After a few days I moved the slider right up to high again ... and movies still payed ok - go figure. Maybe try this? J. |
