| 114561 | 2003-01-17 03:35:00 | Hey Im using outlook 5.0 and recently whenever i double click the outlook icon it doesnt open! No matter what i do, from finding the .exe file, to rebooting, to checking my ctrl-alt-del list nothing! It just wont open! The last thing i did with it was reboot while it was downloading the mesages cause the loading bar stopped and didnt go anywhere. Whats going on here? Thanks |

| 114566 | 2003-01-17 08:47:00 | how do i go about doing that? i cant uninstall.reinstall cause i cant find the disc i used to install it in the first place! If i upgraded to the next version up of outlook, will that fix the problem? Do i have to go about install IE 6 as well? |

Nothing I did seemed to get it going, so in the end I just turned my whole computer off, left it to settle for a few minutes then turned it back on. Before I went back on-line, I reopened OE and sent myself an email then connected to my ISP. This unjammed everything and everything started functioning 100% OK again. BALDY:-) |

| 114570 | 2003-01-17 21:01:00 | In therie you wont lose anything. Of course in therie the program works fine too. I would say that you wont lose anything that you havent allready lost, and chances are that whatever is stopping OE from opening is a corrupted/missing file that is not part of your address collection or message store. IE and OE are so intertwined that you will probably just have to do a full windows update, and hopefully then your problem will be gone. .Clueless |
