| 114476 | 2003-01-16 21:59:00 | You could download a firewall programme such as Zone Alarm, and this will stealth you from the outside, hence people won't see you. Or you can disable settings such as File and Printer sharing, netbios, increase security settings in IE etc. I have found that most generally security breachs can be fixed by configuring your computers settins correctly. The only thing people on the net can see of me is my ports (but they are all closed) and my netbios info, of which they couldn't do anything with anyway. But like i say if you want an easier way and to be stealthed then Zone Alarm is the way to go |
