| 115166 | 2003-01-18 22:33:00 | Haha, i'd be in the same boat I suppose. The first thing I do each day is check my email, and after that I sit at my desk, and leave only for meals and the odd check of the letter box. Maybe sometimes I will venture into town. The only thing that stops me leaving my pc on 24/7 is that my head is next to the psu fan when I sleep, and that really is too much! |

| 115168 | 2003-01-19 02:53:00 | Do I use a computer every day? Of course! Who doesn't?? :D Tim: Are you still having problems with your eyes? You aren't on the comp 7 hours everyday without a break of a few hours are you? Is your monitor at its highest refresh rate and nice and clear with flickering? Are you using good lighting? If your eyes are still playing up you had better get your mum to take you to the doctor - preferably an eye "doctor" (one who tests your eyes to see if you need glasses). Don't leave it until it's too late, your eyes are precious and you should be looking after them. |

Good point, you have to get into a habit of having regular breaks when using computers. When I get up in them morning, I open all the articles I am interested in (I'm a regular Slashdot reader and am on quite a few forums as well) and then read them at various times during the day. I very rarely get sore eyes but then again, I don't play games. |

| 115170 | 2003-01-19 06:04:00 | I used to spend a minium of 14 hours on a puter each day, averaged 16 hours and on many occasions would spend 20 hours a day on a puter. Now however i spend less than 6 hours a day on a computer :( I would like to spend more however it is not possible at this time. > Tim: Are you still having problems with your > eyes? It is recomended for computer users to take several seconds break every few minutes. These breaks may only be 4 or 5 seconds, but by focusing your eyes something else it reduces eye strain. I usually take these breaks by glancing at the dog to see wot she is into, sneak a peek at the tv, or check on what the birds are up to & if they need a rescue. |
