I just dicovered that sendmail did have a function after all, as without it Vanessa, the computer downwind of Sam was unable to get mail and stuff.... all very annoying, so sendmail is just going to have to stay after all. Thanks all for the guided journey through a part of the machine that i now know a little about. Jen C .. i don't think that is so strange, it just goes to show that Linux is a more secure system, even without a firewall! .Clueless |
