Shouldn't that be our right as users? to keep our Operating System secure from external attack? - I could always do with a modded version of Windows :p

What about end users who are converting to Open-Source programs? ?:| - or what about businesses like AirNZ which have a Linux mainframe?

Well they can woo me too if it means I get a look at their source code :p

115596 2003-01-21 03:18:00 Okay, I've just analyzed those links and here are a few of my opinions

> Know what your customers want before they do - :: AD from Microsoft
Righto - well I want Academic pricing to include College students, also licensing your server range as Academic wouldn't go amiss. While your at it, I would like it, if you stopped in your pallidium and Burning Fix nonsense, and just left that to the music industry - it's their problem to sort out - also, how about a GPL version of windows - even if it's scaled down without all the bells and whistles? - or even of Windows98 considering your not supporting it as of middle of this year.

Ain't Tux Cute? :8}

Well it's great to See Microsoft follow their own advice! :D

Clueless - you might wanna get checked for the Linux Cancer here! Intellectial Property? You mean because I've used Linux, it's stealing all my thoughts??

Wait a minute... didn't Microsoft say that Sharing Source Code/Open Source "is 'unhealthy' and causes security risks"?? - geez! :p, also what about - "isn't successful in building a mass market and making powerful, easy-to-use software broadly accessible to consumers." - Linux has been pretty accessible for me! :D

Helloo!!! New Zealands down here.. Yes! here we are! come-on..
Show us the Source Code!
Show us the Source Code!

What about end users?? isn't Windows designed for end users? I'm an End User!

Good for them :D - I wouldn't mind testing SuSE when I have a machine to spare - infact I plan on having a dedicated Linux test machine

Already implemented with AirNZ

Isn't that ironic - you buy a program so you can run Office on your Linux machine, and yet the program comes with a perfectly good Office Suite that's compatible with Microsoft Office documents anyway!

Did ya read that all okay? - your not crosseyed or mind boggled or anything?

115597 2003-01-21 03:21:00 lmao - that's hilarious Chilling_Silence (9)
115598 2003-01-21 03:26:00 I was semi-serious about getting a GPL version of 98 out - I mean, if Microsoft were to release GPL versions of it's old OS Range (NT Workstation, 3.11, MSDOS 6.11, 95, and NT Server) I'm sure people would use them! - considering MSDOS and 3.11 are already available to download from the internet (not through Microsoft) I don't see why not. I'm actually surprised that I haven't found 95 out there - there's that many cracks, hacks and KeyGens for it, it's not funny!

STOP IT LINUX - goddamn that evil OS - it's stealing all my thoughts again :p

It's Microsoft's new Anti-steal-our-OS-without-paying scheme! - they send it to the Russians, and then the Warez, Cracks, etc owners will find a copy and upload it with all their websites, for people to download. Then, in an attempt to go to WindowsUpdate, your IP Address get's recorded along with your DNA Sequence, Retina Scan and Blood Type for use in the World Domination Database.. oh whoops, I meant the "You-Stole-Our-OS" Database :p
