| 115738 | 2003-01-23 00:04:00 | I don't understand what all the fuss is about LOL Personally I use no-CD cracks and keep my retail game CD in pristine condition in its jewel case. You can find no-CD cracks for most games (including AOE2 which I run with no-CD) at http://www.gamecopyworld.com But back to the debate on copying CDs etc. See following excellent article by Bruce Simpson at www.aardvark.co.nz Quote: "Section 80 of the Copyright Act allows users to backup their copyrighted computer software -- unless the vendor expressly forbids it. Copying for any other purpose is obviously disallowed and a breach of the law. " Refer to rangi.knowledge-basket.co.nz for Section 80 of Copyright Act Quote: (2) If the original copy is lost, destroyed, or rendered unusable, the copy made pursuant to subsection (1) of this section shall be deemed for the purposes of this section to be the original copy. I welcome debating this subject maturely without the all the mudslinging (as far as I see both sides are equally guilty - shame on you all, now bend over and spank yourself - just don't enjoy it so much k?) |
