Because I didn't see it, it may surprise you to know that don't read every sigle thread posted on this forum .

>See the problem here is that consistency is the key . Your justification in giving me grief for using "bollocks" while ignoring others is just laughable .

You will never make me feel guilty for complaining about bad language on this site . If ignorance is bliss then you must be blissfully happy! My gripe is that my 7y . o . daughter likes to sit with me while I browse this site, we often discuss problems as we work them out . The vast majority of users here understand the concept of it being a FAMILY ORIENTED site and use language accordingly . You on the other hand are trying to drive decent people away by your continued use of this vulgarity, even after I've asked you not to . Somewhat puerile IMHO . If you want to use language from the gutter please stay there, I don't see why the rest of us have to put up with it .

I think it would be a great shame if I had to stop my daughter accompanying me when browsing PressF1 .

>> >Do you always drive to the speed limit?

>> Yes .

>ROFLMAO . . . Of COURSE you do . . .

And your point is . . . . . ?? Do you always judge others by your own low standards?

>> I believe that it is the policy of this forum .

>And it's your place to point it out?

I believe that it's my right to point it out .

>> Just because it's been accepted in many areas of society doesn't make it morally right or legal .

>Uh huh . . . so what you're conceding is that while it is morally ok to do so, it isn't legal?

How do you work that one out? Read my comment again .

All I wanted to do was point out that this is the wrong forum for discussing illegal acts - whether you regard them as illegal or not . Obviously you regard yourself as being above the law . I also object to you swearing . It's a matter of common decency . In return I get abused and my honesty questioned by you . Your comments show you to be of low moral fibre and to admit to lying on your CV shows you to be a cheat and an idiot too . I'm not above everyong else, but as you're in the gutter Imust be above you!

115693 2003-01-22 02:52:00 talking about downloading MP3's, P2P networks and suitable media players is a bit different to swapping info and links on getting programs to disable copy-protected software.

Whether or not you guys are backing up your own software or something you have borrowed is of no consequence to me. I think Crozier is correct in that this is not the correct forum to trade info in.

Actually, I have seen Robo give a warning to others for it in the past

Now that was low . . . come on guys . . put aside your differences here . . .

Dont start a flame war and make Admin have to lock this thread up!

Crozier > Surely you dont want your 7y . o . daughter seeing you insulting somebody like that .

Lo > You dont have to be quite so pedantic about it alright, live and let live!

Eh? CloneCD doesn't 'disable' copy protected software . Does exactly what Nero does when it comes to building image files from a CD . Depends on how you use it .

Fair enough . I will discontinue this thread because there's no point in arguing with a brick wall . Crozier sees it from his point, I see it from mine . How about we just agree to disagree?

Whether or not you choose to admit your shortcomings is another thing .

You must be God to be so perfect . :|

Baldy: Can't speak for roofus but the only way the CDs in our house get scratched is by my careless children. No matter how many times I used to tell them and confiscate CDs when I saw them "mistreating" them, they still had little "accidents". Not quite so much with game CDs fortunately, because I used to put them in the CD drive, but more so the music disks. It drove me nuts and they have been expressly forbidden to use my CDs at all. They buy their own now and that has helped a bit -- when it's their money they be more careful. :D

If your children are as careful as you and I, then you are very fortunate. :-)

I have... CD was pretty useless after that I might add ;-)

As a Christian I find that to be extremely insulting and completely uncalled for! X-(

How about acting like a grown up and apologising for your bad language?

How I trained them was that they take the CD out of the drive, then put in the jewel case BEFORE they even thought about touching the next game they want to play, and not to put them down on anything.

I taught them this right from the first day I got the computer and its second nature to them now. It was no big deal teaching them to do it that way Susan. Its common sense and respect for someone elses property.

Having said that, it makes good sense to back-up games, as they will always want to swap with their friends.

And your comments about me being in the gutter were not a personal attack?

How about letting something go and getting on with life. Bush is about to go to war, and you're getting precious about the "b" word which others don't find offensive on this site?

More to life than a thread in PF1.
