if your modem is actually working then why are you trying to install one? mayby i've missed something here. but i would simply delete the one you are not useing. or delete them all and make sure they are gone in deviece manager. the reinstall from sctrach (don't forget to make sure you have the proper drivers for the modem).
however seeing as it is still working, check what your logon sped is, check your actual download speed is (modem only). adjust modem strings if need be. then check your browser settings. its fairly comman to find the settings in IE to be set to high (cache to large) which makes IE go fairly laggy. note- it also could be the isp exspecilly in holiday time. |
