116025 2003-01-22 20:03:00 Who knows Outlook Express? I started a long involved email which I wanted to review go back to it next day alter it before sending. Did it in draft mode where it is sitting but it will not let me alter it? Any suggestion or tip how best to draft emails to work on later? Thanks. bruciebear (1478)
116026 2003-01-22 20:27:00 You can double click on the email itself and itll open in a new window that should be editable.

You then have to go Save as Draft or Send for it to be updated/sent!

116027 2003-01-23 07:03:00 When composing long involved emails in the past I have sometimes had OE crash on me for any number of obscure reasons, taking all my work with it. Even drafts that had been saved.

Consequently I don't trust it with lengthy jobs any more. Good old Notepad now does the honours and it's a quick and easy task to copy and paste the text into OE for sending then.

Several times bitten, forever shy.

116028 2003-01-23 08:25:00 As Susan suggests, create the mail using WordPad or some other word processing and then save somewhere on the computer separate from OE . If its that important save a copy to a floppy disk as well and just keep working and saving off that .

The just copy and paste into a new message or add to a existing message as required .

Same as Susan, been bitten in the bum though it is usually a case of lost drafts from the laptop so I use the floppy disk method all the time now when on the move and for all important drafts on the PC as well .
