| 116004 | 2003-01-22 09:05:00 | HI Guys Sometime in the last week and unwanted toolbar appears at the bottom of the screen every time I open IE 6. It is above the Task bar and is about 20 mm high and contains 6Icons labled Make Money, Investing, Sex, Casino, Travel, & Mortgage. There is also 6 drop down boxes to narrow your search, and search box to type in your topic and a GO button. There is an "x" to close the toolbar but it appears again next time I open IE 6. When this toolbar is open there, is a icon open on the task bar that is labled "tjgo.com/passthrough---" . Clicking on any of the icons opens a web site called Lop.com which is another search site. In conjunction with the 1st toolbar there is a second toolbar just below my Google toolbar. It also has a series of search/topic buttons that also take me to the Lop.com site. This toolbar can be closed by clicking View, Toolbars, and deselecting Accesories but of course next time I open IE 6, the !x?"|#@%!! thing is back again. Can anybody help me to get rid of this. I am running XP Pro and IE6 Cheers HH |

| 116006 | 2003-01-22 09:14:00 | It sound's like a program that starts up with your computer; adware/spyware. If right clicking and untciking a toolbar doesnt work (short way of view>toolbars) then it sounds like a program to me. what you need to do is download a program called Ad Aware, this will delete any unwanted spyware and adware from your computer. If you're running KazAa then it wont work afterwards because KazAa uses spyware, but you can download KazAaLite and you won't have to worry. You can download Ad Aware here: download.com.com and KazAalite here: http://www.kazaalite.com |

Ad Aware is supposed to give you an ignore option, but I can't configure it, I think because I am using the free version and that option is not available. Cheers. |

From memory, after running AdAware you are presented with a list of "spyware" and by putting a tick in the box and choosing the ignore option the program will then leave the fake cydoor file . Can't remember exactly how to do it now but I know it took me a minute to figure it out . Are you running the most recent AdAware and definitions? They used to be updated fairly regularly . |

| 116012 | 2003-01-23 21:19:00 | the latest ver of adaware will ignore the fake spyware that comes with kazaa lite (early vers won't). i suggest you download a new copy and the latest ref file. | tweak'e (174) | ||
