2013-02-14 04:53:00 | Hi all, a while back I asked which monitors were good and I have finally narrowed it down a bit, they are all from PB tech and some of them are quite similar. But I was wondering, for those who have had a bit of experiance with different brands and panels, which is likely to be the best. pbtech.co.nz pbtech.co.nz pbtech.co.nz pbtech.co.nz Normally I'd go in store to view them and make a comparison, but there's no PBtech in welly, and finding these monitors together on display will be a mission! Cheers!

2013-02-15 05:43:00 | I KNEW I'd seen a PB tech in wellington, although I assumed it was a distribution office since all I'd ever seen were their AKL branches on their site  As far as the IPS goes, how much better is it over the Samsung TN LCDs? From what I see, I don't think there will be a noticeable difference between the listed models, other than perhaps a bit of colour & the panel types. I'll try get into PB Tech wellington (super derp moment on that!) and see if they have any in store. Thanks guys!

2013-02-15 09:29:00 | Once you have IPS everything else looks wrong. LED's look pretty but if you look at a calibrated IPS you get much truer images. IMO anyway | hueybot3000 (3646) | |

Just when I thought I was deciding on one (the LED) you've brought be back to the edge :D I think I'll have to try and to a visual demo if possible. According to the stock units on PB's site they don't have any in WLG, might be wrong though. |

2013-02-16 05:48:00 | I went into PB tech today. They didn't have the Series 3 LED next to the IPS panel to make a comparison but they had it on a demo machine. Both nice units but I like the LG better. The IPS looked a little crisper with more natural colour reproduction. Which is good, since I'll be using it for design/photography. The Series 3 was also nice, but it looked a little too rich. Fine for most things but it's the little things that tip you over. Either way, they are both pretty much the same really. I wouldn't be *that* sad walking out with the Sammy one if they ran out of stock. It will do nice for all that work I'll be doing... I'd never waste precious time playing games
