| 1302206 | 2012-09-19 11:26:00 | Now before any dirty comments appear ;) "New Zealand's first national earthquake drill is planned for September 26 - at 9.26am" Heard it many times on the radio, everyone's being asked to "drop, cover and hold" as part of New Zealand ShakeOut. Bet there will some strange looks in many places. Bit like an alien attack in the movies where everyone suddenly drops to the ground :) Awareness is good, but seriously how many will actually do it ? Can see there being a problem if driving at the time :D |

| 1302208 | 2012-09-19 11:56:00 | Ironically I will be not far from Te Mari crater on that day, so middle of nowhere...pfft who is going to see :) | coldfront (15814) | ||
| 1302209 | 2012-09-19 20:15:00 | We used to have drills way back when, in nelson, at school. There was an earthquake - christchurchcitylibraries.com I was in bed, and remember quite enjoying the ride across my bedroom....(well I was little then) Auckland is unlikely to get any - volcanos, sure. What's the procedure for volcano eruptions? Run like hell? |

Clear the junkmail from your letterbox, sacrifice a missionary, put on your approved fluoro vest, and face the Beehive . Keep a serious expression, increase your iNsurance cover and direct any lava flows onto your neighbour's place . |
