1328219 2013-02-18 12:02:00 There is one way that appears to work, just tried it and it opened every window every time maximized.

Download This Here (www.v7n.com),Unzip it, If you want this to do the maximized actions every time you start the Computer, save it in the start folder, run the exe. There will be a Icon appear in the Icon try - click it, select "Maximize all" If you only want to do it sometimes, then save it someplace like the desktop, double click to activate.

Actually - if it were meant to do it by default, then there would be a simple option to allow it, and thats why so many people ask how to do it - by default it doesn't.

Depending on the setup, or corruptions / file damages, changing of Reg Values within any install, some things that are "Meant to work" Dont.

Please explain "save it in the start folder" You mean Start Menu folder?

1328220 2013-02-18 19:09:00 Please explain "save it in the start folder" You mean Start Menu folder?Yep, in the all Programs will be a start folder, anything thats in there will run every time the PC is started. If the file was on the desktop for example it wouldn't work till you double clicked it. You can put it on the desktop to see if it does what you want, if it does then drop it in the start folder and it will run automatically.

What you may find is you have to maximize a windows once manually after running the program then it should remember.

1328221 2013-02-18 23:23:00 Hi there DarkFather - I know your frustration with this issue :)

I've had similar probs with it on XP pro a few times in the past, but a permanent, easy solution still seems like a bit of a mirage!

However - I would suggest one extremely easy "workaround that sticks" - and gives you Maximized for most things. (without installing anything)

1. Right click/drag the "my computer" on your desktop to an empty area on your desktop

2. Release right mouse button and select "Make Shortcuts Here"

3. Right click on the new shortcut you just made, and select Properties

4. In the drop-down menu next to the "Run :" - select "Maximized" then click "Apply" and "OK"

5. Now use that when opening "My Computer" instead
