1301500 2012-09-17 20:28:00 I wonder how much it cost for WINZ to claim back that 1 cent on the news tonight?A few years back, the IRD tried to claim back 1c from someone and sent out a tax reminder.I think it ended up on FairGo, and they calculated that it cost something like 5c for the actual notice + postage Myth (110)

1301503 2012-09-17 22:23:00 Its the rich people that make the jobs for the rest. These people are cleverer and work harder than the rest. Otherwise you would have a nice commie system like in pre 1990 Russia where a bus driver earned the same as a cosmanaut. prefect (6291)

Well if that equates to me earning the same as Richard Branson ... where do I sign up comrade Prefect ... :D

1301505 2012-09-17 22:42:00 the 1c issue is a storm in a tea cup as the letters are computer generated. but sure some programming could fix it at a cost of 15k....(that was a guess) but im sure you see my point Gobe1 (6290)

If the debtor in turn sent a cheque in payment of the 1c then IRC could be up for a 30c clearance fee.

I think these days IRD would write it off as an uneconomic balance. I can see the common sense in that.
