| 116078 | 2003-01-23 01:36:00 | A friend of mine owns a PC which runs Windows ME. For some reason, instead of booting up to Win ME it boots up to a menu which contains the following options 1) Normal 2) Safe Mode There are other options but i cannot remember what they are. It has suddenly started doing this for no apparent reason. I have a gut feeling that I can stop this by editing a line in win.ini or system.ini or similar file. Can someone confirm this or tell me what to do to rectify. thank you Paul |

| 116079 | 2003-01-23 01:41:00 | Bring up the Run prompt and type "msconfig". When the System Configuration Utility opens, click on the 'Advanced' button. I think you'll probably find that there is a check for 'Enable Startup Menu'. If so, then clear the checkbox. Otherwise, try the way you were going to do, though "msconfig" makes it easier. | agent (30) | ||
