| 116619 | 2003-01-26 01:49:00 | i got a computer with win98se and a cd of win2000 and win98se.. and i wanna reformat win98se but should i just put win98se back on the computer..or upgrade to win2000?.... its basically a gaming computer...and all games run on that computer and most games want win98 installed...but i'm using them on my computer..and its winxp......and its at the moment sitting unused and has a corrupted registry....as confirmed by a computertech...and he offered to reformat for a cost but i know how to do it..and with pressf1...should be a breeze... and the other worry is..drivers? will they still work on win2000 if i upgrade to that from win98??? If more answers are needed just ask away...am sitting here for the next hour or so and fiddling with old computer and reading pressf1 stuff :D Sooo hope u guys can help :D Chris |

| 116622 | 2003-01-26 04:59:00 | If your W98 games worked on XP they should be OK on W2k. I'm not sure that they did, but with respect CS, your post is a little disjointed. Failing that, I'd stick to 98 if that's what the games are designed for and that's what the machine will be used for. Why buy an argument? Cheers Billy 8-{) |
