| 116370 | 2003-01-24 21:19:00 | Using Win98, I recently have been having seeming system crashes. I NEVER get Blue Screens of Death these days (since substantial hardware upgrading ) but screen sometimes goes totally blank and nothing works and have to reboot by turning off and on. No picture (when that happens) suggests maybe video driver conflicting with something else. I can obviously reinstall the video driver, but am still bugged by the general problem. I can also probably ultimately track down the source of the problem but that may take a lot of time. (My first computer teacher told me that the computer was a "very willing donkey" for doing this sort of tedious work.) Thus, any suggestions on a good (hopefully freeware) program to track down driver or other software conflicts. |
