| 116802 | 2003-01-27 20:30:00 | Hi, Just got back from parachute 2003 - Really rocked. I just thought Id ask what the quality is for Tapes?! Supposedly 128Kbps is CD-Quality (Although I notice the difference at even 192, CD being better..) Is this true also?! Thanks Chilling_Silence |

| 116803 | 2003-01-27 21:31:00 | Well It's kinda hard to compare tapes to MP3 as the artefacts (abnomalies) are completely different between the two. eg. With Tapes you find that there is a lot of back ground noise and that the recording has lower loudness and treble levels. Whereas if you to look at an mp3 of 96k (which you could say is tape quality) at 96k you notice swishing of the treble lines etc. which as you can see is completely different to the tape. |
