| 116796 | 2003-01-27 06:13:00 | I don't like to blame my sons, but ... Today we tried installing a Learning Company prog. and when it started the picture was inverted. This had first occured last night when they were running a demo from a magazine disc. (Jimmy Neutron versus someone). I removed the demo and reinstalled it and the same problem. I can get the picture on my screen to invert anytime by altering the resolution to 640 x 480 (and I can make it go sideways by changing it to 768 x 1024). When I got out of the prog. there was a flicker of the main screen which was inverted and appeared to be running at 640 x 480. I normally run at 800 x 600. I did find a game last night where they had set the resolution to 640 x 480 and I changed it back. My virus protection is up to date and my computer has been scanned. I have downloaded the critical updates from Microsoft. |

Go down to advanced then have a look across the 'tabs' at the top. under one of them there is likely to be an option about "hot keys" if there is disable them. I have come across a computer with a similar problem and that was the problem. good luck |

| 116798 | 2003-01-30 07:17:00 | Thanks for your idea - it has worked on a Monopoly Tycoon demo, A Lego Racers game comes right when I go in and pretend to alter the video display but some of the other games stay upside down and when I use ctrl-alt-delete it tells me the programs are not responding. The hot keys were found by right clicking, finding graphics options and clicking to diable them. Any other suggestions, please? |
